Sourwood 5K and Cheshire Pump & Run
2010 marks the 22nd running of the Sourwood 5K, a premiere road run/walk held August 14th in conjunction with the
Sourwood Festival. Also returning this year is the Cheshire Pump & Run where participants earn deductions off their 5K
times for doing bench presses pre-race. The well marked/supervised 5K course features rolling hills, shade, three aid stations
and lots of fun. Both events are held at the Cheshire Fitness Club in Black Mountain. Race Start is 8:30a.m.
Race organizers are also hosting a practice run each Wednesday night - starting July 7th until the Wednesday prior to the race
August 11th. The free practices start at 5:30 p.m. and follow the exact course of the Sourwood 5K. Athletes of any pace or
experience are welcome to join the 5K practice runs starting at the Cheshire Fitness Club. No registration is required but reservations are requested via phone or email.

Sourwood 5K and Cheshire Pump & Run
2010 marks the 22nd running of the Sourwood 5K, a premiere road run/walk held August 14th in conjunction with the
Sourwood Festival. Also returning this year is the Cheshire Pump & Run where participants earn deductions off their 5K
times for doing bench presses pre-race. The well marked/supervised 5K course features rolling hills, shade, three aid stations
and lots of fun. Both events are held at the Cheshire Fitness Club in Black Mountain. Race Start is 8:30a.m.
Race organizers are also hosting a practice run each Wednesday night - starting July 7th until the Wednesday prior to the race
August 11th. The free practices start at 5:30 p.m. and follow the exact course of the Sourwood 5K. Athletes of any pace or
experience are welcome to join the 5K practice runs starting at the Cheshire Fitness Club. No registration is required but reservations are requested via phone or email.
