Volunteering

You want to be a volunteer?

What's the the most important position in the Asheville Track Club?  The Volunteer! If it weren't for our volunteers, there would be no Beginning Runners Program, no races, and no social events. In short, no Asheville Track Club.

Responsibilities

Wondering what a volunteer's responsibility is?  There are many, but here is a run down of jobs you might be requested to help with:

  • Registration
  • Split caller
  • Street marshall
  • Traffic control
  • Photographer
  • Starting/Finish line setup and take down
  • Aid station/Water stop
  • Food station

Benefits

Well, you won't get rich being a volunteer, but there are still plenty of benefits associated with donating time to a sport you love, including:

  • Endless thanks from the race director, race participants, and Asheville Track Club members.
  • A free Asheville Track Club Volunteer T-shirt.
  • Free race t-shirts.
  • Your photo in Runnin' On, the Asheville Track Club newsletter.
  • The satisfaction of helping and staying connected with the running community that you love.
