The 31st Running of the Bele Chere 5K
In order to celebrate the 31st running of the Bele Chere 5K a brand new Bele Chere website has been developed thanks to the hard work of Greg Duff, our race director. The Fletcher Parks and Recreation has signed on Morris Broadband as the Title Sponsor for the 2010, April 10th- ½ Marathon to be held in the Dupont State Forest. The FOOT Rx Running Relay Race will be held that same day ( 3 runners, each running 4.36miles for a half marathon) Entry Forms will be available November 2nd, and registration online will begin then at Active.com . The Race will be limited to 300 runners, and the fee is $40 for the ½ and $75 for Relay teams. All proceeds will go to the Park Development Fund. Interested runners may request an entry from by emailing Race Director, Greg Walker at : g.walker@fletchernc.org . Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the Water stations on the course , contact Greg Walker at 687-0751.2009 Turkey Trot Results
The 2009 Turkey Trot 5K is in the books. With a record number of participants at over 1000 this year and fine weather the race was a super success. Thanks to everyone who ran and to the many volunteers who made the race possible.Newsletters

Fall Beginning Runners Program
The Asheville Track Club's Beginning Runners Program had well over 180 registrants this Spring. Over eighty five of those runners chose to participate in this years Bele Chere 5K. Thanks to Coach Tom Kingsbury and his dedicated group from the Carrier Park Runners for their super job. The Track Club is pleased to announce that we will also have a Fall Beginning Runners program this year for the first time. The program will start the Tuesday after Labor Day with the goal to prepare runners for participate in the annual Turkey Trot 5K at Carrier park. Watch for more details in the near future!Local Weather
2010 Michelob Ultra ATC Grand Prix
The 2010 Michelob Ultra Grand Prix is now underway. Here are the current top three for Overall, Masters, and Grand Masters. Age group winners can be found on the Grand Prix page. The rest of the 2010 schedule is almost complete although we do expect to add races.

town in a very short time. it is also the kickoff for the Asheville Track Club Grand Prix.
February 13 The 11th Annual Valentine 5K - Black Mountain, NC
This is the second race in the 2010 ATC Grand Prix.
February 21 The Frostbite 5K - Fletcher, NC
This is the third race in the 2010 ATC Grand Prix.
